Why Rising Seniors Need to Start This Week

College Board BigFuture Scholarships | Up to $40,000 | Monthly entries through November 30, 2026
No essay, no GPA minimum. You earn entries by completing college planning steps on BigFuture: building a college list, exploring majors, connecting with schools. Monthly drawings pay $500 or $40,000. Students from families with annual income at or below $60,000, or who qualify for SAT fee waivers, get extra entries. You're opening a BigFuture account alongside Common App this week anyway, so there's no reason not to earn entries simultaneously.
Niche $25,000 No-Essay Scholarship | $25,000 | Monthly (next deadline: July 31, then August 31)
Open to all U.S. high school and college students, no GPA or citizenship minimum. About ten minutes via your Niche profile. The effort-to-reward ratio is the best of any scholarship on this list. Enter every month.
Pizza Hut Foundation Scholarship | $500-$5,000 | August 31, 2026
Minimum 2.5 GPA, ages 17-26, financial need required. The award also includes a 14-week mentorship program. The deadline is August 31, per Fastweb.

Coca-Cola Scholars Program | $20,000 | Application opens August 3 | Phase 1 deadline: September 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET
Here's what most students get wrong about Coca-Cola Scholars: they assume it's only for students with a 4.0. The GPA floor is 3.0. Phase 1 requires no essay or transcript at all, focusing instead on activities, leadership, and community impact. The Foundation explicitly weights impact over grades. 150 scholars selected annually. Regeneron Breakthrough Junior Challenge | Up to $250,000 | September 15, 2026
STEM students: submit an original three-minute video explaining a concept in mathematics, life sciences, or physics. The full prize package can total up to $250,000, including lab equipment for your school and a prize for your teacher. Open to U.S. and Canadian high school students ages 13-18.
October 2026: Full Rides and Major Awards
QuestBridge National College Match | Full four-year scholarship | Deadline: approximately October 1, 2026
One application accesses full scholarships at 55+ partner colleges, including Stanford, Yale, Princeton, MIT, and dozens of others. The estimated total value across four years can exceed $360,000. Horatio Alger National Scholarship | $25,000 | Approximately October 25, 2026
The lowest GPA bar of any major national award: 2.0. The foundation is designed for students who have overcome significant adversity and weighs perseverance, financial need (AGI at or below approximately $65,000), and community involvement. November 2026: Jack Kent Cooke and Research Science Awards
